Stephanie graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland in 2007, and also has a Bachelor of Human Services from Griffith University in 2004.
Stephanie is skilled and knowledgeable Occupational Therapist with over 15 years clinical experience working in a broad range of clinical settings including disability, rehabilitation, aged care and case management. She has spent several years working in hospitals and in the community, providing client centered OT services to people of all ages with a wide range of health conditions and disabilities. Having worked in this roles has provided Stephanie with experience in assessment and intervention for people with complex needs following illness, injury or disability. Stephanie has extensive experience and skills in assessment, daily living skills/therapy, assistive technology (aids and equipment) and home modifications.
Stephanie is registered with APRHA and a member of Occupational Therapy Australia.

Assessments
Comprehensive in-home assessments to assist in identifying needs and support requirements with respect to Activities of Daily Living and Functional Capacity. These include (but not limited to):

Assessments for assistive technology and home modifications
Assistive Technology
Assessment, trial and prescription of aids and equipment needs ranging from low cost to complex wheelchair and seating. AT or daily adaptive equipment can support people to improve their independence, increase functional capacity and ensure safety when performing of daily living tasks. These may include:
Shower chairs
Adjustable beds
Electric lift recliners
Hoists
Pressure reducing cushions & mattresses
Kitchen aids
Basic & powered wheelchairs
Home Modifications
Assessment and recommendation of the home environment.
Consultation and clinical recommendations provided on minor home modifications such as grab rails, threshold ramps and hand held shower hoses. Joint builder visits, liaison with tradespeople and architects available to consult on more complex home modifications such as kitchen, bathroom or external access solutions. Preparation of comprehensive reporting and floor plans available.

Who We Work With
At Home Occupational Therapy Services working with adults from 18 years to the elderly, focusing on assistive technology and home modifications.
Stephanie has clinical experience working with people with a large range of health conditions.
She specialises in working with those with physical and neurological disabilities including (but not limited to);
Multiple Scelrosis, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Muscular Dystrophy. Stephanie is also experienced in supporting those with other chronic health conditions such as scolerdermia, arthritis, chronic pain, and diabetes. She can provide tailored OT services to people with orthopaedic conditions such as upper and lower limb amputations, pre and post hip and knee replacement.
Having worked in both hospital and community settings, Stephanie is knowledgeable and experienced in providing education, assistive technology and home modifications to the elderly and those at risk of falls/ have balance issues, pressure injuries and other age related conditions such as dementia, cancer and palliative care.

At Home Occupational Therapy is based in Kedron and services the Northside of Brisbane.
Services may be provided outside this upon request.
Travel fees are charged for home visits. Travel for NDIS participants is charged according to the current NDIS Price Guide.
